Yutaka Osawa passed away on Jan. 17, 2019 at the age of 78 in Torrance. A memorial will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on Saturday, Jan 26, 2019. Visitation and viewing will take place from 9:00AM to 11:30Am in the Villetta Suite in the main building. Immediately thereafter, a graveside service will be held and all are welcome to both the viewing and the graveside service.
Yutaka was born in Osaka, Japan and raised in Gobo, near Wakayama, before moving to the U.S., as a teenager. He is predeceased by his wife Teru, and is survived by his children (Atsushi) Edward, Howard (Satoshi) and Yukiko; daughters-in-law Kathryn and Tamaki; grandchildren Alec, Tomi and Rui; siblings Ayako, Shozo and Yasunori; as well as other relatives in the U.S. and Japan.
