Willie G Catoera, also known as "Bebot", 69, of Cherry Valley, California, passed away in the arms of his family on September 7, 2024 at Kaiser Permanente in Moreno Valley, California.
Willie was born on September 9, 1954 in Davao, Philippines to departed Ireneo Catoera Sr and Paciencia Catoera. Together with his family, he moved to the United States and was a long-time Southern California resident. He was a resident of Cherry Valley, California for 4 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lina Catoera and daughter Wileen Catoera, sons Mark Rosario and Anthony Rosario, stepsons Danny Velasquez and Manuel Velasquez Jr, and stepdaughter Socorro Josef. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Gio, Hiro, Klein, Arjanne, Joshua, Anja, Izzy, Mila and Jack, as well as his brothers and sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Willie will be remembered for his ability to light up a room with his endless humor and comedic acts. He managed to look on the bright side and remained cheerful, turning frowns into laughter and smiles. He was a loving husband, enjoyed travelling with his wife to various nice places. He was unselfish and generous to his family, especially to his grandchildren. His wonderful life was well lived. He was much loved and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visitation hours will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 from 430pm until 830pm at Green Hills Memorial Chapel located at 27501 S Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 1030am at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 870 W 8th St. San Pedro, CA 90731. Burial will immediately follow.
