William Carroll Thomsen passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 93. He was born in Long Beach, California on December 30, 1932, and was a longtime resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and the Greater Los Angeles Area. Following his graduation from El Segundo High School, William served in the United States Navy in the Korean War. After his time in service, he worked as a carpenter throughout the South Bay and Los Angeles County. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Thomsen; daughter, Michele (Andrew) Lowe; son, Erik (Akemi) Thomsen; grandsons, Geoffrey (Hayley) Lowe and Caleb Thomsen; granddaughters, Rachel Lowe, Rebecca Lowe, and Trinity Thomsen; and great grandson, Colton Lowe. William is remembered for his love of gardening, baseball, history, and most of all his love for his wife and family. A memorial service is to be held at a later date.
