Veroana Stanescu was born in Dor Marunt, Romania, in 1929, to Ion and Ecaterina Visalon, the youngest of seven children. From childhood, she worked on the family's extensive farm, where she grew to love nature, horses, and animals of all kinds.
In 1960, she married Ioan Stanescu and moved to Bucharest, where they lived until 1993. They then relocated to Los Angeles to live with their daughter and her family. Above all else, she cherished raising her grandson. Following the passing of Ioan Stanescu in 2002, Veroana remained the center of our family—deeply loved and absolutely irreplaceable. She passed away on July 19 2026. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen, and her grandson, Roland. May she rest in peace and may her memory be eternal.
