Ulyana Khusnetdinova, aged 84, passed away on January 12, 2026, after battling an unexpected 2025 cancer diagnosis, in California surrounded by her loving family. Mom’s fight with this horrific disease was very short but blissfully painless. Ulyana was the beloved wife of Mikhail Khusnetdinov over 60 years, loving mother and amazing grandmother. As a child in World War II Russia, she incurred a lot of challenges from early childhood onward facing hunger, working hard every school break alongside adults, because many men perished during the War. Without outside support, mom got higher education and built her career as a commodity expert and retail manager. Post-retirement, she moved to USA and became a true caregiver to her two grandchildren, who will forever hold near her most kind personality, gentle singing, and soulful cooking. Mom was a fan of expedition, sharing many memories on Alaskan, Caribbean, and Mexican cruises with her family.

Ulyana is survived by her husband Mikhail, daughter Angelina, granddaughter Janna, grandson Viktor, his wife Anna, their son Ulyana’s great grandson Mikhail, and three younger sisters who are living in Russia and whom she visited every other year till Covid.
