Trudy Torquato

Gertrude (Trudy) Torquato of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2016. Trudy was born on February 28, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than fifty years, Hector Torquato. She graduated from Grinnell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Trudy was a very talented painter and loved to travel the world, which she did much of during her life. She is survived by her niece Pamela Fox, grandniece Andrea Pynn, her very loving caregivers Nelly Paniagua and Sara Villalta, as well as longtime friends and family. Her final resting place will be at Green Hills Memorial Park and a private memorial will be held celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Best Friends Animal Society.
