Timothy Craig Dickins, Jr. ("Timmy")
Timmy was known for his larger-than-life personality, infectious smile, outgoing spirit, and generous heart.
Timothy Craig Dickins, Jr., affectionately known as "Timmy," a beloved resident of Rolling Hills Estates, California, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2026, at the age of 39.
Born on May 27, 1987, in Torrance, California, Timmy was known for his larger-than-life personality, infectious smile, outgoing spirit, and generous heart. He had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went and was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him.
From an early age, Timmy embraced life with enthusiasm. There wasn't a sport he didn't enjoy or excel in. He proudly participated in the Redondo Beach Junior Lifeguards program and later attended Rolling Hills Preparatory School, graduating in 2005. During his high school years, he was a dedicated athlete, competing in football, basketball, and baseball. He was especially proud to be a member of Rolling Hills Prep's CIF State Championship basketball team.
Timmy spent much of his professional career in sales, where his outgoing personality and genuine ability to connect with people made him successful. In 2024, he fulfilled a longtime dream by founding his own business, AC Hot Wash LLC, where he took great pride in serving his customers and building something of his own.
He had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went and was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him.
While Timmy enjoyed many pursuits, music was his greatest passion. A gifted and self-taught musician, he played the drums, bass guitar, and acoustic guitar, and found joy in writing and creating music. Whether performing, practicing, or simply sharing music with others, it was where his creativity and spirit truly came alive.
Timmy is lovingly remembered by his mother, Susan L. Barrett; his stepfather, Steven Barrett; his father, Timothy Dickins; his stepmother, Claudia Dickins; his sister, Mackenzie Hudson, and her husband, Brian Hudson; his cherished niece, Frankie Jean Hudson; his stepbrother, Nicholas Barrett, and his wife, Jasah Barrett, along with their children, Jaeda and Jacob; his stepbrother, Robert Barrett, and his wife, Kimberly Barrett, and their son, Jamison; his stepbrother, Jonny Colon, and his wife, Ashley Colon, and their child, Everett; his stepbrother, Kevin McMahon, and his wife, Jessica McMahon, and their son, Duke; and his lifelong partner, Veronica Sluder.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Clarence and Frances Clark, Asbury and Jeannette Dickins, and his cousin, Christopher Clark.
Timmy's love for life, unwavering loyalty to those he loved, generous heart, and unforgettable spirit will remain with his family and friends forever. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
