Theresa Pokras Escobar, born March 3, 1944, passed away peacefully at her home on December 21, 2025. She was 81 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Salvatore and Rosalia Ravalli, Theresa moved to San Pedro, California, in the 1950s, graduating from San Pedro High in 1962. Theresa relocated to Baltimore afterwards, where she attended Towson State University and held a variety of occupations before returning to San Pedro to raise her family. On June 16, 1978, she married her husband B. Ramiro Escobar. They were together until his passing in 2023.

Well known in San Pedro, Theresa was an outgoing person who could be very engaging and fought for what she believed in. She is survived by her sons Larry, John, Jeff, Andrew, and Thomas.

Services will be held at Green Hills Cemetery on January 16, 2026.
