Tayeko Helen Yamashiro, 91, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026. She was born in National City, CA. After her father's passing, she and her family lived in Japan before returning to the United States in 1948. She pursued her education and earned an AA degree and went on to build a meaningful career where she met her beloved husband, George Yamashiro. She is survived by her sister, Ayako Kujiraoka; her children, Jeffrey (Joyce) Yamashiro, Gary Yamashiro (Michael Peloquin) and Jasmine (Sung) Hyun; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Yamashiro, her parents, Yonejiro and Hideyo Nakasuji, two sisters, Sayuri Harami, Miyo Hora and brother, Ichiro Nakasuji.
