She was born on July 20, 1934 in American Samoa and had been a longtime resident of Carson, California. Talanoa is survived by her loving husband; Saiaiga Itula, children; Jesse Itula, Albert Itula, Arthur Weinberg, Agatele Thrash, Diana Canepa and Freddy Matua, 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
