Sylvain George Chin

George passed away peacefully on August 4, 2013 at the age of 82. He was born on November 12, 1930 in San Francisco, California and had been a resident of Rancho Palos Verdes since 1962. As a U.S. Marine, he fought in the Korean War and was a recipient of two purple hearts. Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 57 years, May Yoeni, and two children, Laurie and Curtis; his three siblings, Elwyn (Virginia) Chin, Calvin (Shelly) Chin and Carolyn Woo; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Visitation will be Friday, August 16th from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Villeta Room at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 17th at 1:00 p.m. in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
