Susan C. Peterson

Susan Carole Peterson was born July 20 1943 at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital. She entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2017. She was pre-deceased by her parents: Lillian Larson ( 2001) and Karl (Brud) Peterson (1997). She is survived by Aunt Florence (Dollie) Larson, many cousins including, George (Mary, daughter Lindsey); Robert Larson of San Diego CA; Stanley Forsstrom of Concord, CA; Lisa Maenpaa Drucker (Jeff, daughter Tasia) of Torrance; Paul Vaisanen (Maria, daughter Jasmin) of San Pedro; Rauli Marjamaki & family of Finland , and Dear Friends- Stefanie Kramer (GodChild Gordon); Rick Simpson; Shelly Mickelson; her many Trinity Lutheran Church Family of San Pedro, as well as First Lutheran School of Torrance staff and students where she taught Kindergarten for 31 yrs. Carole was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in San Pedro from the age of 5! She was involved in Trinity's Altar Guild, Nursery Guild, Sunday School, and Library Guild. She enjoyed gardening, arts and craft; preparing luncheons, cooking, entertaining, nightly reading of animal stories to 97 year old Aunt Dollie over the phone, watching "Hallmark" movies, and crochet/needle work. Carole had the Lord as a part of her daily life. She knew His gift of love and salvation for her. She was led by the Spirit and found ways to serve the Lord. Thank you to her caregivers, Suzi Harrison, Sandra Vuoso and Sonia Altamirano. Thanks also to Marlora Sub-Acute Care of Long Beach, Avenida Villa Board & Care of RPV and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro along with their Providence TrinityCare Hospice. She shared gentleness, caring and a steady character. It was a joy to be in her presence. Visitation will be at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 3-7pm. Interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Park on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 3pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1450 W 7th Street, San Pedro, CA, on Thursday, March 30 at 4pm with a dinner to follow.
