Sonja Sofija Pintaric

Sonja (Sofia) Pintarić passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025 at 86 in her home in San Pedro, California. She was born on April 24, 1938 in Croatia, immigrated to Canada in 1967 then came to California in 1982. She and Duško married in Zagreb, Croatia in 1963 and were married for 55 years until Duško’s passing in 2018.

Sonja is survived by her son, Tomislav, and his son Richard as well as by her daughter, Maja, her husband Izidor, and their children, Daniel and “Mala” Maja.

She was a strong-willed, loyal, resourceful, and proudly Croat Woman. Her passions included sewing, passing on her heritage, Turkish coffee, and spending time in the desert. Her service will be held at the Historic Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM
