Shelby Yvonne Wageman, born on December 28, 1994, in Torrance, California, passed away peacefully at her home on October 9, 2025, due to an epileptic seizure. Her vibrant spirit touched the hearts of many, and she leaves behind a legacy filled with creativity, joy, and a love for storytelling.
Shelby was a proud graduate of El Camino College and the South Bay Massage College, where she obtained her massage therapist license. In her professional life, she worked as a freelance massage therapist, bringing comfort and relaxation to those around her.
A true artist at heart, Shelby embraced her creative side with enthusiasm. A remarkable storyteller, she not only spun enchanting narratives but also made cute dolls to accompany her tales. Her passion for cosplay was evident in her elaborate outfits, particularly her beloved transformations into Pikachu and other Pokémon characters, which she proudly showcased at Disneyland. This joy she spread through her cosplay was a testament to her fun-loving personality that brought happiness to so many.
Shelby had a fondness for Dragon rolls and found great pleasure in watching movies, often sharing these simple joys with family and friends. Her warmth and creativity were woven into the fabric of her relationships, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her loving family: her mother, April Cornett; her father, Dennis Wageman; her brother, Cory Wageman, and sister-in-law, Jwan Wageman; her sister, Carly Silva, and brother-in-law, Douglas Silva; and her niece, Kylie Silva.
Her untimely passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew her. Friends and family will remember Shelby as a beacon of joy, creativity, and love. Her legacy of stories, laughter, and artistic expression will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on October 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Cove Suite, located at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park at 3:15 PM, concluding at 4:00 PM.
Shelby Yvonne Wageman will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy and creativity she brought into the world.
