Sergio Tiampo

Sergio Tiampo passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, at the age of 96. He was born in Leyte, Philippines. He joined the Navy at a young age and served 30 years in the Navy fighting in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He married Anne Olarte and eventually settled in Wilmington, CA in the early 1960’s where he raised his family for over 50 years in a house filled with warmth and love.

Serge was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was funny and kind.

He is preceded in death by his wife Anne.

He is survived by his daughter Kathy Gray and her husband Joe; son James Tiampo and his wife Kathy; grandchildren Alexander Tiampo and fiancee Elanie Marquez, Kimberly and Brandon Taylor, Kevin and Jill Gray, Samantha Tiampo and husband Dana Shapiro, Michael and Jacquelin Gray; great grandchildren Anais Tiampo, Jaden, Jackson, and Jordan Taylor; Cameron and Elliott Gray, Frankie and Billie Shapiro; Meadow, River, and Lion Gray.
