Ruth A. Shinoda, the daughter of Kishichi and Mine Saito, passed away on November 20, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born in Washington on February 25, 1927, and was a longtime resident of Rancho Palos Verdes. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Richard) Gillette, and grandchildren, Gavin, Aiko Derek, and Ellowyn. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Yamasaki, Martha Pollock, and Ben Saito.
