Rudy Gardea

Rudy Gardea Sr. was born February 5, 1952, in San Pedro, California and passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022.

Rudy graduated from San Pedro High School in 1970. After graduation he attended college for a year and then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served our country for 4 years before being Honorably discharged in 1975. He went on to work for Northrop Grumman until he retired in 2017.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Gardea, his children Ronnie, Becky (John), Joanne, Rudy Jr, and his grandchildren Avery, Ryan, Jayce, Reese, and Emersyn.

He also leaves behind his siblings Laura, Eddie Joe, Arnold, Jimmy Arthur, and David along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lupe & Eddie Gardea and mother-in-law Trinidad Mora.

Rudy leaves a legacy of love for family, love for life and all the beautiful things life offers us like friendship, laughter, music and sports. He will be greatly missed; however, he will live on in our hearts and memories every day.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, October 14th, 2022, at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
