Rudolph (Rudy) Henry Chavez, born March 28th, 1963, in San Diego, California, passed away on March 2, 2026 in Garden Grove, at the age of 62.

Rudy was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend. He was family-oriented personified. He is survived by his daughters Amanda, Melanie and Kelly; his mother, Victoria; his siblings Mary, Julia, Patricia, Olga, Joe, and Ralph; as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles nieces, nephews who cherished him.

Rudy found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. He loved soccer, cross-country road trips, watching live sport events and spontaneous outings, especially random snack runs to celebrate National Donut Day or Pi Day. He was also never without the companionship of Jackson, his beloved pup. He will be remembered for his generosity, his warm heart and his unstoppable sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone around him feel like family.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on March 28th, 2026 in Long Beach. He will be laid to rest the following day, March 29th, at Green Hills Memorial Park.

Rudy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him."
