Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Ruben B. Espinoza passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 3, 1941, in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico.

A devout Catholic, Ruben lived his life guided by faith, humility, and gratitude. His belief in God was a source of strength throughout his life and a foundation for the values he instilled in his family. He trusted deeply in God’s plan and now rests in eternal peace.

Ruben dedicated 45 years of his life as a cannery inspector at Heinz Corporation, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. He took great pride in providing for his family and building a life rooted in honesty, perseverance, and love.

Ruben found his greatest joy in time spent with family. He loved weekend barbecues, enjoying many genres of music, dancing, and traveling.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Micaela Espinoza; his children, Ruben Espinoza Jr., Anthony Espinoza, Eric Espinoza, David Espinoza, Joel Espinoza, and his beloved daughter, Marisol Ascencio. Ruben was a proud and loving grandfather and cherished great-grandfather. He is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation (4:30pm-8:30pm) will be held on Friday, January 16, at Green Hills Cemetery. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, followed by burial services.

Ruben will be remembered for his unwavering faith, gentle spirit, love of life, and deep devotion to his family. We take comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into God’s eternal embrace.

“I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live.” — John 11:25

Rest in peace, Pollito. You will be forever missed and always loved.
