Rose Taylor, born Rosie Chagenovich on January 29th, 1928 in Van Houten New Mexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Sunday June 21st, 2026. She was 98. A coal miner’s daughter, Rose moved from New Mexico to San Pedro in 1941. After marrying, she and her daughter Jody, toggled from Alaska and Arizona before Rose returned to San Pedro to live her next 60 years with a stunning ocean view just across the street from her family home. If you knew her, you would know how special you felt in her company as she always lifted every soul she encountered. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jody, son in-law Greg, grandsons Richie and Bryan, granddaughter in-law Ashley, granddaughter Alexandra, grandson in-law Daniel, as well as her great grandson, Johnny; as well as her remaining sisters Barbara, Dorothy and Nancy, and by her many nieces and nephews.
