Rose Marie Romero

In Loving Memory of Rose Marie Romero, 85 years old, of La Mirada, California. Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and devoted friend. Rose Marie Romero passed away peacefully at her daughter Diane’s home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 22, 2026.

Born in Pueblo, Colorado on June 17, 1940, Rose Marie moved to California where she met and married John B. Romero. Together they raised 4 daughters. Rose Marie was known for her sense of humor and her commitment to family. A devoted Catholic, Rose Marie remained deeply rooted in her faith throughout her life. That faith sustained her through life’s challenges and brought her peace in her final days.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Dominguez and Matilda Perea; Husband, John B. Romero; Brothers, Ernest Dominguez, Joe Dominguez, Bobby Dominguez, Pete Dominguez, and Alfred Perea; and Sisters, Isabel Apodaca and Nellie Quintana. Survived by her sister, Pauline Montoya; Four daughters: Diane Gonzales and husband Alex, Loretta Velasquez and husband Richard, Frances Marshall and husband Daniel, and Linda Vazquez and husband Frank. Survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and numerous friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who cared for Rose Marie, especially Kind Heart Hospice, Hospice de la Luz and the numerous nurses, caregivers and chaplains for their compassion and support.

Funeral services will be held at Green Hills Cemetery 27501 South Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on Saturday April 11, 2026 @ 2:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 1211 Henderson Way, La Habra, CA. 90631@ 5:00 pm.
