It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Louise Harpur, 96, announce her peaceful passing on March 6, 2026. Rosie was a life-long resident of Wilmington, California. A devoted wife and mother, Rosie centered her life around her family, her work and her wide circle of friends. She worked side by-side at Harpur’s Marine, her family’s business, with her husband of 56 years, Gordon R. Harpur and her youngest son, Thomas B. Harpur. Rosie was an avid reader, an excellent cook, a lover of music and dance, and a best friend of those in her social circle. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Tom and Reg Harpur, her daughters-in-law, Deborah and Gina Harpur, and her grandchildren, Erin and Brad Harpur. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Harpur, her brothers Milo Gobovich and Ted Hunter, and her sister Jean Culbertson. A private service will be held for immediate family to honor Rosie’s life.
