Rosalia Migliaccio of Long Beach, passed away on November 9, 2025. She is survived by her children Nicola, Giovanna, Francesco, Michelle, Michael Jr., her grandchildren Christopher, James, Nico, Trinity, Sofia, Gabriella, Francesca, Maxwell, Luke, and Michael. Known fondly as “Nonna,” Rosalia first came to California with her growing family in 1971 from Ischia, Italy. She and her husband, Tony, opened and operated many restaurants, including Villa Napoli, Piccolo, and Proud Pelican. These were not just businesses, but a family endeavor. Tony attributed their gastronomic success to her authenticity and discerning taste. When called out to, she would respond, “Gioia!” Rosalia was joy, strength, charm, warmth, home. Her smile was magnetic and her story-telling epic. Rosalia loved her family deeply. Beloved, cherished, and respected, Rosalia- Mom, Nonna- you will be greatly missed and tenderly remembered as the center of our universe. The Earth has been knocked off its axis. Don’t worry, I will hold your purse! Rosalia will be laid to rest next to her husband. Services will be held at Green Hills Mortuary on November 24, 2025.
