Rosa Cabanting Alejo

Surrounded by her family, Rosa Cabanting Alejo passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 89 years. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Rosa was born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines in January 1933 to Eusebio and Ursula Cabanting. She married Cirilo Alejo in June 1961 and had three children, Roselo, Rosemarie, and Revelino. In 1971, she and her family came to the United States and settled in California. She retired from TRW in 1995 after many years as an electronics bonder. During and after her time at TRW, she proudly spoke of the high praise her supervisors and colleagues had for her diligence and hard work.

Rosa lived with kindness and incredible care and concern for her loved ones. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild dearly. She enjoyed spending time with them, telling them stories, cooking and feeding them, learning about their lives, and singing them songs and rhymes. Through her actions, Rosa taught them how to be caring; they promise to always take care of one another as well as she took care of them.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Cirilo Alejo; three children, Roselo Alejo, Rosemarie Jones, and Revelino Alejo; eight grandchildren, Jasmine Jones, Niki Miller, Jade Jones, Theodore Alejo, Kelci Jones, Jordan Alejo, Lauryn Alejo, and Nicholas Alejo; great grandchild, Elliott Miller; and children-in-law, Ofelia Alejo, Alec Jones, and Ana Alejo. They all love and miss her very much.

The wake will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm with the vigil beginning at 7:00 pm. The funeral liturgy will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 am. All services will be held at The Mortuary at Green Hills at 27501 South Western Avenue in Rancho Palos Verdes.
