Dr. Romeo Di Pasupil, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and colleague, passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 65 due to cumulative effects of cerebrovascular disease.

Romeo was born on December 15, 1960, in Manila, Philippines. He was the eldest of four children and the only son of Sal and Eden Dipasupil.

In the 1970’s the family moved to the United States, living in CA, then NY, and eventually TX. Romeo graduated from Alief Elsik High School in Houston, and studied Chemistry and Biology at Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University). Romeo then set his sights on dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UTHealth School of Dentistry in Houston.

During a trip to see friends in Los Angeles, he met the love of his life, Evelyn "Gigi" Galeon. For the rest of dental school, Romeo and Gigi continued a long-distance relationship and after graduating, he moved to California. Romeo and Gigi were married in 1988. In the next few years, they would go on to have their pride and joy, sons Anthony and Kevin.

Romeo relished his job as a dentist, practicing at various dental offices over the years, including his own in Redondo Beach. He was last employed at Morongo Indian Health Clinic where he worked for over ten years, providing dental services to the Native American community. As a dentist, he was often described as highly skilled, gentle, friendly, and caring.

Romeo had a lighthearted zest for life, finding joy in so many things. He learned how to play various instruments in adulthood, including harmonica, ukulele and sitar. He belonged to the ULU (Uncle Lincoln Ukulele) group and enjoyed playing with them at various events. His other interests and hobbies included balloon animals, origami, yoyos, bike riding, paintball, and RC mini helicopter.

He also found happiness in food and travel. He was knowledgeable about world cuisines and enjoyed traveling with his family to different countries and various places in the USA, with Romeo learning about and sampling many dishes, and collecting souvenirs.

Romeo will be remembered with gratitude and affection. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Romeo is survived by his wife Evelyn "Gigi" Galeon, sons Anthony and Kevin Di Pasupil, sister Shirley Day and her partner Scott Klatte, sister Sally Stokes, her husband Jon and their children Daniel, Sarah and Jacob, sister Sharon Benerofe and her son Caruso. He is predeceased by his parents Sal and Eden Dipasupil, his father- and mother-in-law Manuel and Evelyn Galeon, his brother-in-law Greg Benerofe, and his maternal aunts Fe and Terry Miraflores.

Graveside service will be held August 31, 2026, at 9:00 AM PST at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Celebration of Life luncheon service will be held August 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM PST at Seafood Empress Chinese Restaurant in Gardena, CA.
