Románe Anthony Tuaño Reantaso, 36, of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. A devoted son, brother, and friend, Románe will always be remembered for the warmth of his heart, his unwavering compassion, and his profound commitment to family, community, and faith.
Born on January 7, 1990, in West Los Angeles, California, Románe was the beloved son of Leilani Tuaño and Rizaldy Reantaso, and the cherished older brother of Ruben and Reiland Reantaso. From a young age, Románe demonstrated a natural love for food and cooking, often preparing meals for his younger brothers.
Beyond the kitchen, Románe’s energy was boundless. In his youth, he was an avid BMX racer and mountain biking enthusiast, drawn to the thrill of the outdoors. He delighted in camping adventures with friends and family, the laughter around campfires echoing his love for togetherness. Románe also enjoyed the SoCal car scene, where he found joy in modifying and working on his vehicles, another reflection of his creativity and hands-on spirit.
Románe’s passion for plant-based cuisine became one of his greatest callings. Inspired by the loving example of his grandmother, Lola Medy, he carried forward his Filipino heritage with pride and creativity as one of the original vegan Filipino chefs in California. He established a name for himself as both a culinary innovator and a compassionate advocate for animal rights. He collaborated with entrepreneurs developing recipes and menus for several successful plant-based restaurants. He found solace in inspiring countless others to see food as a means of care and connection. For Románe, cooking was more than a craft—it was an act of love.
Románe’s heart truly lay in serving others. His spirit of generosity extended deeply into his community. A passionate defender of animal rights and advocate for healthier lifestyles, he regularly used his talents to serve others, cooking meals to feed the homeless and teaching by example that kindness and empathy could be transformative forces, embodying his belief that kindness and nourishment go hand in hand. He loved deeply, lived faithfully, and touched the lives of everyone who crossed his path.
Románe’s life will be celebrated at:
Green Hills, 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
Visitation will be held on February 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow on February 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with burial to take place at 3:15 p.m.
“The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during the trial, trusting Him when tempted to lose hope, surrendering while suffering, and loving Him when He seems distant. At my lowest, God is my hope. At my darkest, God is my light. At my weakest, God is my strength. At my saddest, God is my comforter.”
