Roberto Tomas Estrada passed on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the comfort of his home in Long Beach, CA. He is survived by his wife, Loretta and 3 children: Gabriela, Jacqueline and Roberto "Boy". Roberto was born in Zacapu Michoacan, MX on October 12, 1959. He was the second oldest of 12 siblings. After the passing of his own father at a very young age, he made it a priority to look after his mother and younger siblings in Mexico. Roberto grew up with a close group of friends from his neighborhood, El Centenario, and they've been friends for over 50 years. He spent a couple of years in Tijuana, MX before settling in Long Beach, CA where he met his wife Loretta. They were married for 32 years and raised three beautiful children. Roberto took pride in being a family man and his family will forever carry the love and values he instilled in them.
He was a manufacturing welder by trade for over 35 years, where he was proud to be a mentor, friend and colleague to those he worked alongside. Roberto had a passion for birds. He was an avid pigeon racer and as part of the Compton Pigeon Club, he made long lasting friendships. Roberto was first diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and after 5 years in remission he lost his battle. He will be deeply missed and although life without him will never be the same, his memory will live on in all the people who had the opportunity to know and love him.
