Robert John Vandermeer was born January 16, 1947 in Paterson, New Jersey and passed away on August 21, 2018 in Lakewood, California. He was a Police Officer for the Long Beach Police Department for 31 years. He is survived by his wife Linda Kalte Vandermeer, Step-Sons: Mike LeGrand and Alan LeGrand, Step-Grand Children: Juliana, Cameron, Jake, Taylor Rose, and many friends. Services for Robert will be at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, 8/29/2018 at 11:30am with an interment site service following at Green Hills Memorial Park.
