Robert Gordon Himes

Robert Gordon Himes, son of Gordon Allen & Roberta Katherine, was born October 10, 1916 in Odessa, Missouri and passed away at home on February 4, 2015 in Torrance Calif, at the age of 98, surrounded by his loving family. Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife Cecelia Esther Huston-Himes of 64 years, his beloved parents, brothers Harold, Donald, Philip, Hubert, Glenn and sister Katherine. Robert is survived by one brother Allen Woodger Himes (Kay) of Williamsburg, Va, his 3 children, Robert Wayne, Ronald Gordon (Laura) & Linda Marie (Michael) Petraroia. Robert has 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great grand child due in June 2015. Robert resided in Torrance and was an active member of the Torrance Church of Christ since 1942. The memorial service for Mr. Himes will be Thursday, February 12th at 1:00 in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. Viewing will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm.
