Richard Pei Yuen Hsu of Rolling Hills Estates peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 19th surrounded by his loved ones. He was 91. Richard was a loving husband of 66 years to Cecilia. He was a caring and kind father to Emily, Carol, Pamela, and Candace. He dearly loved his 10 grandchildren Lisa, Rachel, Aidan, Dominique, Robert, Daniel, Juliette, Logan, Christopher, and Tessa. He is also survived by his sister Margaret, and brothers Charlie and Bobby.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Peter, and sister, Mariena.Richard was born in Hangzhou, China and later attended the National Taiwan University, where he majored in Civil Engineering and met his sweetheart, Cecilia. After moving to America, Richard and Cecilia married and began building a life together. While starting their family, Richard pursued higher education and earned a master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Richard had a fun, cheeky sense of humor. He loved traveling with Cecilia, negotiating a good car deal, and indulging in chocolate, but what he loved most of all was spending time with his family. He always placed his family first, thinking about their needs over his and worked tirelessly to ensure he provided for his kids and grandkids.

We will be celebrating his life on Sunday, June 29 at 9:00 am at the Green Hill's Memorial Park. There will be a brunch following the service.Thank you for everything Gongon. We will love you forever.
