Raymond Mendoza

Raymond "Lido", the son of Isaac and Josephine Mendoza, was born on May 10, 1924 in San Pedro, California and passed away peacefully on July 23, 2011 in his home surrounded by his devoted family. He was a lifetime resident of San Pedro. Raymond was preceded in death by the love of his life, Magdalene, his wife of 51 years. He is survived by his 5 children, Frances (Jack)Franko, Charlotte Mendoza, Martin Mendoza, Mark (Marika) Mendoza and Jennifer Mendoza; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Raymond worked for ILWU Local 13 from 1951 to 1989 and was the longshore gang leader of Gang 53.
