Raymond Edwin Carlson was born on November 10, 1946, to Thomas Carlson and Vivian Carlson. And he went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2025. Raymond was a Vietnam veteran of the 173rd Airborne (The Herd) in the United States Army deployed in Vietnam. He was proud of being in the 173rd Airborne even though he would not talk about his experiences very much. After the Army and earning his purple heart from battle, Raymond became a trucker driver until he became fully disabled during a car wreck. Raymond enjoyed watching NASCAR. He went to the races at Las Vegas and Pheonix when he got older with his second wife, Cheryl Pate. While his children were young, Raymond loved bringing joy to children in his community by dressed up as Santa Clause. He loved body surfing with his daughter, Karen. Raymond belongs to the VFW and the American Legion.

Raymond leaves behind a son James Carlson, stepdaughter Tabitha Revalee, stepson Jacob Barger, and his second wife Cheryl Pate. Raymond had a total of six grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister Laree Carlson, nieces and nephews. Raymond leaves behind his two cats, Electra Lacy and Tommy, and his dog Cody. He treated them like children. And Raymond enjoyed taking his two cats on vacation with him. Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Martinez, his first wife Kathleen Carlson, and his parents.

The services for Raymond E. Carlson will be graveside on October 3, 2025, at 9am.
