Rafaela Gamboa

Es con gran tristeza que la familia de Rafaela Gamboa anuncia su fallecimiento el jueves 3 de enero de 2019 en el Centro Médico de Torrance Memorial, a la edad de 71 años después de sufrir un derrame cerebral masivo. Nació el 24 de octubre de 1947 en el pueblo rural de El Rincón, Durango, México, hija de Maria de la Luz Tejeda López e Ildefonso López. Rafaela será recordada con amor por su esposo e hijos. También será recordada con cariño por sus nietos, así como por sus nueras y yerno, hermanas y hermanos, sobrinas y sobrinos, ahijados y queridos amigos. Rafaela tocó la vida de todos aquellos con los que se cruzaba y siempre tuvo palabras alentadoras para aquellos que lo necesitaban. Le encantaba viajar y visitó varias ciudades en México, Estados Unidos, España, París e Italia. Dedicó su vida a cuidar de sus hijos, sus padres y le regaló a la tierra un hermoso jardín. El rosario y velorio se celebrarán en Green Hills Memorial Cemetery 27501 South Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 de 5 p.m. a 8:30 p.m. el 13 de enero de 2019. La misa se llevará a cabo a las 10 a.m. el 14 de enero de 2019 en Holy Family Church 1011 E. L. Street, Wilmington CA, 90744 y el sepelio a las 11:30 a.m. en Green Hills Memorial Cemetery 27501 South Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275

It is with great sadness that the family of Rafaela Gamboa announces her passing on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Torrance Memorial Medical Center at the age of 71 after suffering a massive stroke. She was born October 24, 1947 in the rural village of El Rincón, Durango, Mexico to Maria de la Luz Tejeda López, and Ildefonso López. Rafaela will be lovingly remembered by her husband and children. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, as well as by her daughters and son-in-law, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, godchildren and beloved friends. Rafaela touched the lives of all those that she crossed paths with and always had encouraging words for those in need. She was a world traveler and visited several cities in Mexico, the U.S., Spain, Paris, and Italy. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, parents and gifted the earth by tending to a beautiful garden. A rosary and viewing will be celebrated at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery 27501 South Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 from 5pm-8:30pm on January 13, 2019. A mass will be held at 10 am on January 14, 2019 at Holy Family Church 1011 E. L Street, Wilmington CA, 90744 followed by the funeral at 11:30 am at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery 27501 South Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275
