Patty Ybarra

Patty Jones Ybarra 92 years old, loving wife, mother , grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024 surrounded by her family and husband of 71 years. She was born in Coffeen Illinois on November 13, 1931 and moved to California with her mother, father ,and two brothers at the age of five. Patty had many disabilities, she lost her eye sight at the age of three, and her body had been broken up by a drunk driver. During her long hospital stay a roommate set up a blind date with Leonard Ybarra after she was released from the hospital. They had a three month courtship and married on May 16 1953. Shortly after marrying Leonard was drafted into the Navy, after his duty was served they settled into a small basement apartment in Redondo Beach CA. They had two children Leonard and Marie,Then bought a home in Torrance CA. Had two more children Steven and Daniel. Patty was always there for all of her family A perfect mother and wife taking care of her children and home. She was sweet kind, loving, caring, thoughtful and real intelligent. She will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Preceded in death by her son Steven Ybarra, survived by her husband of 71 years Leonard Ybarra, son’s Leonard and Daniel Ybarra, daughter Marie Kueneman, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

A service will be held at Green Hills Chapel and she will be laid to rest at Green Hills Cemetery.

Until she will be raised up to dwell in the house of the Lord forever
