Patsy Aiko Hasegawa

March 16, 1940 - June 26, 2026

Countless students were touched by her gentle heart, warm smile and quiet wisdom.

With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate Patsy Aiko Hasegawa, who passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 86.

Patsy was born on March 16, 1940, in Wailuku on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, to Keizo and Tsuruyo Kakihara. She was the only sister among four older/younger brothers. She shared 57 years of marriage with her husband, Paul and gave birth to three children, Tami, Kelli and Myles.

Patsy cherished every moment with her beloved grandchildren, Michael (20), Danielle (18) and Kaia (2). Whether gathered around the dining room table on saturdays, celebrating birthdays/holidays or traveling to Las Vegas and Maui, those moments spent together were the treasures of her heart.

For more than 40 years, Patsy devoted her life to education. Countless students were touched by her gentle heart, warm smile and quiet wisdom, carrying the lessons she taught far beyond the classroom.

Though we grieve her passing, we are forever grateful for the gift of her life. Her legacy will be carried on through the lives of the family she adored and the countless acts of kindness she bestowed upon others.
