Patricia Balanza Torqueza

Patricia Balanza Torqueza, aged 83, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, in Torrance, California. She was born on October 23, 1940, in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, to Severo Cachero Balanza and Maria Domingo Balanza. She was a proud resident of Torrance, California and was a 1962 graduate of Chinese General Hospital College of Nursing in Manila, Philippines. She married Mariano Casino Torqueza on January 27, 1968 in Quezon City, Philippines. She worked as a Registered Nurse with Memorial Care Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach caring for babies and children in the Pediatrics department. Patricia was very caring, nurturing, and adventurous. Her family and travel were her two biggest passions. She is survived by her husband, Mariano; a sister, Emiliana Balanza Tajos, a brother, Pablo Domingo Balanza Sr., and children Annaliza Torqueza Anderson, Norman Balanza Torqueza, and Alan Balanza Torqueza; and 5 grandchildren.
