Patricia Romero, 57, of Carson, California, passed away on February 1, 2026, leaving behind a light that will never quite be replaced.

Patricia had a gift that few people are born with — the ability to make anyone feel seen, loved, and at ease. Whether she was greeting a stranger or holding the hand of a child at the daycare where she worked, her infectious smile and laughter had a way of brightening the hearts of everyone around her. She never needed a special occasion to spread joy; even a simple trip to the store became an adventure in her hands.

At home, Patricia poured her heart into her family. The holidays were her stage — she decorated with care and creativity, making sure every corner of the house felt magical and every family member felt cherished. When she wasn't decorating, she was already planning the next outing, the next memory to be made. Her favorite escape was Big Bear, California, a place she returned to with the same wonder every time. Her love of bears grew so deep that she began collecting them, filling the home with a warmth that matched her own.

Patricia also had a creative spirit that she shared generously. She lovingly crafted handmade gifts for the children at the daycare to bring home to their parents — small tokens made with big love.

She is survived by her husband, Jose; her children, Jose, Stephanie, George, Christopher, and Roger. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark.

Patricia Romero was someone who made the world softer, warmer, and more alive simply by being in it. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
