Our beautiful mom Palma, born in Ischia, Italy, was called peacefully from her home to join her loved ones on November 21, 2018.
All predeceased, Palma was daughter to Onofrio and Maria Boccanfuso; Wife to Vincent who left us way too young; Grandma to Vonna Pack; Sister to Dominick, Connie, Gilda and Marie.Survived by sisters Nickie and Catherine. She was a loving and giving mom to Laura (Nick) Pack, Marian (Robert) Holder, Vincent (Joann) Carbone, Anthony (Nanci) Carbone and Rose (Anthony) Iacono.
She was a devout Catholic whose faith sustained her through struggles in life. She lived simply but considered herself blessed in so many ways. Love was always unconditional with her. Unkind words were never spoken. Her smile, compassion, and energy could lightup a room.
You could find mom walking the neighborhood while praying the rosary or quietly at home crocheting blankets. She was an awesome cook and baker. Something always smelled good when you walked up the driveway. She rooted for the Dodgers and enjoyed her lineup of T.V. gameshows. Bus trips to Vegas couldn’t be booked fast enough.
Though quiet by nature, Palma so loved and was very proud of her family. Her 16 grandchildren all have special memories to cherish. They kept her busy. God was good enough to bless Palma’s gracious, gentle soul with 9 great- grandchildren as well.
Visitation will be held Sunday December 2, 2018 at Green Hills Mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, December 3, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church, 10:00 a.m. Internment to follow at Green Hills.
