On December 25, 2025, Millie “Milica” Jelenić passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in 1936, on the island of Olib, Croatia to Ivan and Marija Boncić, Millie lived the next 14 years on the little island she loved on the Dalmatian coast along with her sister, Diane Radov, and her brother, Marion Boncich.
Millie emigrated to the United States as a teenager where she graduated from San Pedro High School in the winter of 1956. In February 1957, Millie married Stanko Jelenić and shared sixty-three loving years together before Stanko’s passing in 2020. They enjoyed cruising and travelling with friends and family and spent many summers at their family home on Olib.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, brother, sister and granddaughter, Megan Rexroad and is survived by her three daughters, Janie (Ante) Baskovic, Mary-Ann (Garrison) Davidson, and Cindy Jelenić, three grandchildren, Kristina (Owen) Fileti, Ante (Dr. Mana) Baskovic, and Hayden (Louis) Mowers, six great grandchildren, Lana, William and Oliver Fileti, Siena, Harper and Luka Baskovic, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 24th at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by a private interment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
