Michael Steven Villalpando

Michael Villalpando, 61, passed away February 27, 2022, at his home in Gardena CA, surrounded by his family and listening to the music he loved.

Mike was born July 29, 1960, in Torrance, CA, and was a graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School class of 1978 and later attended Loyola Marymount University.

He built a 38-year career at the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo, retiring in 2020. His passions included fishing, scouting (Eagle Scout 1977), attending concerts, rooting for his beloved LA Dodgers, as well as gardening and traveling with his wife, Marisa.

Mike will be remembered as a loyal and loving husband, father and son, and a friend to many. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of classic rock, loved his backyard gatherings with family and friends around a fire, and was an expert saltwater angler.

He is survived by his wife, Marisa Castellucci; children Steven, Brandon (Sara); parents Henry and Herminia; and sister Linda Burch (Mike) and their four daughters Jessica, Amanda, Vanessa, and Diana.

Mike’s celebration of life will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho PV, Monday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m.
