June 26, 1965 – September 8, 2025 San Pedro, CA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Diane Bebich, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, who left us on September 8, 2025, at the age of 60. Melissa was born in San Pedro, California, on June 26, 1965, to Kathleen Harryman.

Melissa’s life was marked by her sincerity, warmth, and a passion for the things she loved. She had an infectious enthusiasm for the world of collectibles and memorabilia, particularly those that celebrated her deep love for music and art. Her collection was not just a hobby but a reflection of her soul, an expression of her personal connection to the melodies and images that inspired her.

In addition to her love for music, art, and cats, Melissa spent over 30 years working as a clerical employee at ZIM, where she was a proud member of OCU Local 63. Over the years, she made many close friends, some of whom she remained in touch with long after her retirement. True to her old-school nature, Melissa never lost the art of handwritten letters. She believed in the personal touch and made it a point to keep in touch with friends and family through the mail, taking the time to craft thoughtful, heartfelt messages that will now be treasured even more.

She was a woman of rare character: genuine, compassionate, and unafraid to live authentically. Her passion extended beyond her collections and work into her relationships, where she was a loving sister to Derek Harryman and his wife Elissa, and a proud aunt to her nephews, AJ and Ben. Her family, especially her late brother John Davis, was the cornerstone of her life. Their relationship was one of playful banter, more like a duet of dueling pianos than a typical sibling bond.

Melissa’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether it was through a shared conversation about music, art, cats, or life itself, she made those around her feel seen and appreciated. Her fierce loyalty, sense of humor, and quiet strength will be profoundly missed.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Sylvia Medvidovich, Mark Medovic(uncle), stepfather Jim Harryman and her brother John Davis. She is survived by her mother Kathleen Harryman, her brother Derek Harryman, his wife Elissa, and her cherished nephews AJ and Ben, and best friend Kevin Medovic(cousin). Her extended family and many friends will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A service to celebrate Melissa's life will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 2:00 PM at Green Hills Memorial Park Historic Chapel. Her family invites all those who knew and loved Melissa to join them in remembering the beautiful, passionate, and authentic soul she was.

Rest in peace, Melissa. Your light, passion, love for cats, dedication to friendship, and unwavering spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew you.
