MaryEllen Lee Woodbridge, born on April 30, 1954, in Bennington, Vermont, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2025, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, MaryEllen leaves behind cherished memories that will linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

MaryEllen dedicated many years of her professional life to serving others as an Occupational Therapy Aide at United Counseling Services in Bennington, Vermont. Throughout her career, she epitomized service to others. Her kindness and consideration were unparalleled, and her contributions were deeply felt by both her colleagues and the individuals she assisted.

An alumna of Southern Vermont College, MaryEllen earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to nurturing and guiding those around her. As a single mother, she raised her daughter, Michela Woodbridge-LaMar, with unwavering love and support. Michela excelled as a student and athlete, later carving out a successful career in the healthcare industry, a testament to MaryEllen’s commitment and dedication as a parent.

MaryEllen's pride and joy extended to her granddaughter, Ava, who became the light of her life. The profound bond they shared exemplified the warmth and affection that defined MaryEllen's character. She brought joy to special occasions with her unique traditions, such as celebrating birthdays on both “Birthday Eve” and the birthday itself, ensuring that every moment was filled with love and meaning.

Beyond her family, MaryEllen had a passion for life that included her love for the Kansas City Chiefs, particularly their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. At family gatherings, her famous homemade lasagna was a staple at Christmas dinners. Her loss leaves an absence felt across both coasts.

MaryEllen is survived by her brother, Stephen DeGrenier; her son-in-law, Blake LaMar; and her beloved granddaughter, Ava. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michela Woodbridge-LaMar.

A visitation will be held on November 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Villetta Suite, located at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. A funeral service will be held on November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM (PST) at Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel, located at the same address.

MaryEllen Lee Woodbridge will be remembered not only for her remarkable life and achievements but also for the love she imparted to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and joy that will never be forgotten.
