Martha Silvia Alcalá Barrera, 44, passed away on October 19, 2026.

Born in Mexico, Silvia was the youngest of three sisters and the one who kept them close. She was reserved by nature, but the people closest to her knew how much she cared. They could tell her anything and trust her to listen and say what she really thought.

Silvia is survived by her husband, Ignacio, and their two children. She loved being their mother, and the family she and Ignacio built together always came first.

She is also survived by her parents, her sisters, Laura and Leticia, and her five nice and nephews, each of whom had their own special relationship with her.

Silvia will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her sisters will especially miss being able to call her about anything, as they always did.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Her funeral will take place in Mexico.
