Marietta Sison, 74, of Corona, California, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 30, 2025.

Marietta was born on January 19, 1951, in Manila, Philippines, to Pacita and Adolfo Acuesta. She was one of three sisters, preceded by her older sister, Emily, and followed by her younger sister, Corazon. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Eddie. Together, they began a new chapter when she immigrated to the United States and settled in Carson, California, where they raised their family.

Marietta was a devoted mother to her three sons—Edward, Michael, and Marlo. She spent more than 34 years working as an aerospace parts inspector in Torrance, California, a career she approached with dedication and pride. In her retirement, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family—watching her grandchildren grow, tending her garden, making desserts, and enjoying trips to the casino, especially when her sisters were visiting.

Marietta is survived by her devoted husband, Eddie; her sons, Edward and Marlo; her daughter- in-law, Mitch; and her three beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Michiko, and Enzo. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews—Pamela, Theresa, Ceclie, Cary, Jonjon, and Reynato—as well as many grandnephews and a grandniece

Marietta will be remembered for her warm smile, kindness, and gentle spirit. She left a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.

A memorial service will be held on January 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
