Manabu Saito

Saito, "Sy" Manabu passed away on April 23, 2017 at the age of 87 at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, California. He was born on September 19, 1929 in Oahu, Hawaii, and was a resident of Indio, California. He was a Korean War veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. In addition to being a loving father and family man, he was a talented hairstylist, golfer and pool player. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rose and brothers Sunchi and Itsu. Sy is survived by his wife, June, son, Greg (Sue) Saito, daughters, Darlene (Leonard) Kruisheer and Julie (Kostas) Makrygiannis, stepdaughters, Carole (Tom) Campis, Lorna Campbell, 18 grandchildren, siblings, Led, Joe, Fumi, Hazel, Doris, Sue, Sara, and many friends and beloved dogs. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on May 6, 2017 at Green Hills Memorial Park. Aloha/casual attire requested.
