Mae Natsuko Nishizaka, 89, passed away on Thursday, January 3rd at her daughter’s home in Milford, Pennsylvania, with her family by her side.
The youngest of six, Mae was born on August 26, 1929 to the late Shosaku and Kio Kadomoto. She grew up in Tokyo, Japan until the age of 29, when she moved to the United States and met her late husband, Tamio James Nishizaka, of 31 years. The couple raised their family of two children, Cindy and Debbie, in Southern California, where Mae lived the remainder of her life. She enjoyed simple pleasures like her monthly dinners with her sister, Agnes, and Kay, family get-togethers, music performances, and was perfectly content to spend hours with her Sudoku puzzles.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Schaefer and Debbie Nishizaka, her two sisters, Agnes Yamashiro and Mizue Yazawa, her grandsons Daniel and Matthew Schaefer, her son-in-law Scott Schaefer, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
