Madonna Jimenez Egana passed peacefully the morning of July 12, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born on December 1, 1930, in Palauig, the Province of Zambales, Philippines.
Madonna lived a full life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true hard-working hustler in the best sense of the word, always finding creative ways to support her family. She was an entrepreneur and the mastermind behind their real estate portfolio, respectfully convincing her husband to invest.
Madonna enjoyed trips to Vegas, playing Bingo, and Lotto: all in for the win. She was a competitive mahjong player who would joyfully hustle your winnings from you. She was a passionate gardener who had a true gift with plants. Her home was filled with various types: roses and orchids were her favorites. Mom had the patience and care of nurturing her plants. She worked diligently often propagating many to later bloom in pots throughout her garden.
Madonna met Felipe, her future husband when she was a teen. Years later, returning home from shore leave from the Navy, he came across Madonna, who had then blossomed into a beautiful young woman. Their courtship ensued. In 1952, at the age of 22, Madonna secretly married Felipe in Burgos, Pangasinan. Two years later, they officially tied the knot in a church ceremony on July 4, 1954. As a military wife, she traveled with her husband to several stationed locations. They lived in Hawaii, Washington D.C., and eventually settled in California. Through their travels, they built a loving family consisting of 6 daughters and 1 son.
Madonna is survived by her 7 children: Arleen (Bob), Madelene (Reggie), Jane, Elizabeth, Freda (Curtis), John (Clarissa), Donna (Derrick).
13 Grandchildren: Corey (Nicole), Casey (Michelle), Bryce (Ariel) / Stephani (Kyle), Kevin, Caroline (Kevin), Emily / Jeffrey (Aurora), Andrew (Kym), Jared (Ingrid) / Kristin, Steven / Maiya
