Joseph "Parrot" Ferrandino

Joe Ferrandino, aka "Parrot," passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Joe was 59 years old and a lifetime "Pedro Dog." Joe was born on March 1, 1953 to Mario and Anna Ferrandino. He had two siblings, John and Mary Rose. Joe graduated from San Pedro High School in 1971. He served in the National Guard from 1972 -1976 and has been a proud ILWU member for over 30 years. Joe married the love of his life, Sandy, on Valentines Day in 2001 and was a loving step father to Cassandra and Rodolfo. He loved them as his own and they loved him. Joe was an avid sports fan and was known for his "Parrot's Picks." He was a man with a big heart who loved to tell stories and had more friends than we could ever count. Joe is survived by his wife, Alessandra "Sandy" Wallace-Ferrandino, his stepchildren, Cassandra Hernandez and Rodolfo Armando Hernandez. His mother, Anna Ferrandino, mother-in-law, Elvira Wallace, sister, Mary Rose Ferrandino (Bobby) Bugarin, sister-in-law, Pearl Ferrandino, nephew, John (Kim) Ferrandino, niece, Nicole (Joseph) Ramirez, nephew Mario Bugarin and great nephews, Giovanni and Joey Ferrandino, and Alexander and Callen Ramirez, and his great niece, Gabriella Ferrandino. Joe was predeceased by his brother, John Pat Ferrandino (10/28/93) and his father, Mario Ferrandino (5/8/02) and his beloved dog, Sunny. The family would like to thank all the friends and loved ones who have been there to help and support us during this difficult time. A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Green Hills Memorial Park in the Chapel. In honor of Joe and his favorite gold, Pedro sweatshirt, matching t-shirts are being made for the funeral.
