In Loving Memory of Luis Ortiz
Nov 4, 1927 - Oct 4, 2026
Luis loved his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rosario, and a cherished father to Miguel, Zoyla, Amy, and Aaron.
Luis Ortiz passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the age of 98, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 4, 1927, in Mexico City, DF
Luis was the last surviving member of his ten siblings. In 1961, he settled in Gardena, California, where he built a life for himself and his family, creating a home filled with love, dedication, and lasting memories.
Above all, Luis loved his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rosario, and a cherished father to Miguel, Zoyla, Amy, and Aaron. He was also a loving grandfather to Michael, Alex, Christina, and Sal Jr., and a proud great-grandfather to Charlotte. His family was his greatest joy, and the love he shared with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Luis was a hardworking man who spent many years working for American Airlines, providing for his family and helping create opportunities and experiences they would treasure for a lifetime.
His family was his greatest joy, and the love he shared with them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, fishing, listening to Spanish music, and, of course, shopping. He had a wonderful personality and his own unique way of doing things, bringing laughter, warmth, and special memories to those around him.
Luis lived a life defined by hard work, love, and devotion to his family. He worked hard, provided for those he loved, and enjoyed life in his own special way. The memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will forever remain in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love, strength, and wonderful sense of humor will live on through the generations he leaves behind.
