Our beautiful and resilient matriarch, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Lucy Mae Monfalcone, gracefully left this earth on January 13th, 2016. Born in 1926, she lived a full life that spanned almost 90 years in Southern California, beginning on a family farm in Torrance and enjoying most of her days at her family home in Manhattan Beach, where she raised generations of children. Lucy was a homemaker and incredibly active in St. Cross Episcopal Church, local charities and her community. She also supported her husband, Joe, in building, selling and maintaining property in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach and in other investments and enterprises. Lucy will forever be remembered for her electric blue eyes, vibrant smile and incomparable sense of humor. She was a world traveler who loved history, culture, food, wine and water sports. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy, and loving son-in-law, David, her son Clint and his wife Diana, and her sisters Carolyn and Emmy Lou. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Carissa, Chelsea, Clinton, Whitney, and Connor and her great-grandchildren Madaline, Elisabeth, and Miles. Her loving family will never forget her indelible impact and toasts a glass to Lucy today. Please join us. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Cross Episcopal Church Sociable Seniors. Graveside funeral will be held at Green Hill Mortuary at 12 PM on January 22nd and Memorial Service at St. Cross Episcopal Church followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 30th at 1 PM.
